Our Story

It was May 2019. A night that still sits heavy in my heart. My mom and I were just trying to reach a bus stop but when the auto driver changed route, everything felt wrong. I grew up there. I knew it was a dead end.

Luckily, I was there to act. But what if I wasn’t? What if she were alone? That thought stayed with me, kept me up for days. I knew then—I had to build something that would help women feel safe when they travel. That’s how Locomate began. Not just an app, but a promise. For every mom. Every sister. Every woman.

The Problem We Address

Kidnapping

Every 3 minutes, someone goes missing—and in many cases, it starts during an everyday journey. A wrong turn, an unverified ride, or a quiet street can suddenly become dangerous. What’s more alarming is that victims often don’t have the time or means to signal for help. At Locomate, we’re working to ensure that moments like these don’t go unnoticed—because every second matters when safety is at stake.

Sexual Assault

1 in 3 women face harassment or assault while commuting—be it walking, taking a cab, or riding public transport. Most incidents occur in the absence of immediate support or witnesses. Locomate’s tools are built to provide real-time safety nets through alert systems, video/audio calls, and location tracking—so no one feels alone, unheard, or unprotected in public spaces.

Human Trafficking

Human trafficking often starts in the most ordinary moments—on the way home, at a bus stop, or during a solo trip. Traffickers exploit vulnerabilities like lack of tracking, slow responses, and inaccessible emergency contacts. Locomate bridges that gap with live route monitoring and instant alerts, creating a protective digital shield that empowers users and disrupts danger before it escalates.
